Full house refurbishment/ Single storey rear extension

Open House

A reimagined family home defined by fluid spatial relationships, layered levels and a seamless connection to the garden.

The reconfiguration also incorporates a practical service zone within the remodelled garage, including utility, WC and storage. At loft level, a new master suite with study area benefits from added front-facing windows, reconnecting the upper floor with the street.

Externally, anthracite zinc cladding is paired with crisp white render, replacing dated finishes and establishing a bold yet refined material contrast.

The architecture focuses on strengthening the relationship between interior and exterior through light, movement and open, interconnected spaces.

The brief included a ground floor extension, loft conversion, and full internal and external refurbishment. The new ground floor adopts a split-level configuration, with the kitchen set below the dining and living areas to mediate the transition to the garden. Extensive glazing and retractable doors on two sides dissolve the boundary between inside and out.
